Registration of water, electricity counters, Internet and telephone connection

Once you received the TAPU and became a rightful owner of real estate in Turkey, it is necessary to prepare and complete formalities with a number of documents so that you have water, electricity, telephone, and Internet connections in your home. Our staff is ready to process all this together with you or by a power of attorney for you.

To connect water and electricity, two identical sets of documents are required:

  • a copy of the foreign passport of the owner;
  • a copy of TAPU (certificate of ownership for the real estate);
  • a copy of ISKAN (permit for usage);
  • a copy of the DASK policy (compulsory insurance of real property against earthquake);
  • tax number in Turkey
  • questionnaire (of water services company or energy company, respectively).

To obtain a subscriber's number for water for a new building, it is necessary to go with the documents to the water services company, sign the contract, and make a payment (about 450 liras). After that, by the evening, or at most, the next day (depending on workload), the water services company personnel will arrive and connect the counters for you.

To have the electricity connected, it is necessary to apply these documents to the power company, pay about 400 liras, and sign the contract. You will have the electricity the same evening or the next day.

If you have purchased a property in the secondary market, then the cost of re-registration of the relevant documents will be much lower.

The Internet and telephone can be connected in one place – at the office of Turk Telekom, the largest telephone operator in Turkey. To do this, you first need to call them and find out if the line is brought to your property. If yes, then you can invite a visiting manager or come to the office to choose the most acceptable rates and sign a contract. After that, within two or three days they will, for free, install the modem and connect the Internet and telephone for you. Of course, you can take only one thing of these two.

If not, then as an ISP alternative you can consider a company that calls Superonline. The procedure and conditions of connections are the same, the only difference is the rates.

If none of the providers have yet led to your home network, you need to talk to your neighbors, collect 3-5 signatures, and apply for a connection. After a month you will have internet access.

Be careful! The contract with the provider is signed for 2 years, and in case of its early termination, you would have to pay a fine.

Bills for all these services will come every month. To avoid paying a penalty for late payment, you may make a direct debit of funds from your bank account or take advantage of our service package
