The weather in Antalya in October
So, what do you have to be prepared for in Antalya in October?
October, to tell the truth, is the best time of the year in Antalya, especially the first part of the month. It is the best time because a comfortably warm and soft weather sets in after unbearingly hot summer months.
It is the best time for beaches, walks, trips, and tours. It is the time when you don’t want to waste a single minute indoors but just enjoy the whole range of pleasures the Turkish Mediterranean Riviera can provide you with.
If we try and analyze the weather forecast statistics of the Turkish Meteorological Office over 90 years, we can admit that the average daytime temperature in Antalya in October is 26.6℃, whereas the average temperature at night is 15.3℃. The average temperature in September is 20.6℃.
The highest daytime temperature in October was historically recorded at the rate of 38.7⁰℃, when the lowest temperature once dropped up to 4.9℃ at night.
The average amount of sunlight comes to 7.9 hours at day time, as you can see that is quite enough to go swimming and sunbathing on the beach.
The total amount of precipitation during the second autumn month (in millimeters) comes to 67.9 mm on average (67 liters of water for 1 square meter), which, in fact, doesn’t look so much – a few refreshing downpours that will give you only positive emotions.

Vacation in Anyalya in October. Feedbacks from tourists who share their experiences
Rinat:
– My wife and I got a chance to take a break from work in October. At first, we were a bit upset and actually we were hesitating whether we should go on vacation to Antalya at the end of the tourist season. But finally we made up our minds to buy a package tour. And we are so happy that we did not lose such an opportunity!
The summer heat was gone, but the daytime temperature was +26℃ to +28℃, whereas at night the temperature went down up to +18℃ or +22℃.
The ground cooled down at night and it did not become red-hot during the day. And the sea water was warm with the temperature about +25℃, so we were lucky to lie on the beach and swim in the sea. We also were able to take a tour to Cappadocia. We came back home feeling simply over the moon!
Alina:
– I want to say a few words about the weather in Antalya in October. On the whole, it is very warm here at this time of the year and I don’t see any problems with going swimming and sunbathing. Of course, you do that in the daytime. Closer to the evening it gets cooler and you want to change your swimming suit and shorts to a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt.
But you start feeling such changes in the air at the very end of October, almost in November. At the beginning of October, even in the middle of the month, the weather is quite summerish: warm and sunny, which is favorable for going on different tours.

Speaking about tours, I can’t but recommend everyone to visit such popular places and sights as Myra-Kekova exploring ruins of some antique towns, St. Nikolai’s church, take an unforgettable boat trip with a break for swimming in the clean sea waters.
